A few months ago, we at Toyota Walnut Creek learned about the incredible work being done by Shepherd’s Gate Women’s Shelter — a program that provides hope, healing, and support to women and children facing challenging life circumstances. Their mission truly resonated with us, and we began thinking of ways we could make a difference.
Not long after, one of our guests traded in a well-maintained, one-owner 2003 Toyota Camry, and we immediately knew how we could turn this opportunity into something meaningful. Our team came together — every department contributing their time and care — to recondition the vehicle, install new tires, and make sure it was in excellent condition. Even our vendor partners joined in, generously helping to ensure the car looked and ran great.
Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of donating this vehicle to Brianna Whittaker, an inspiring alumni of Shepherd’s Gate. Brianna, her fiancé, and their seven children are beginning a new chapter, and we couldn’t be more honored to play a small part in helping them move forward. 🚗💙
At Toyota Walnut Creek, giving back is at the heart of what we do. This experience reminded us that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference — not just in one person’s life, but in the lives of an entire family and the community around them.
